Steph Johnson is that rare panoramic talent that catches your attention upon the first note. Her voice is soulful and unique, rich with texture as is her songwriting.
She has released 5 studio recordings, her most recent recording "So in Love" is a 10-song compilation of her favorite jazz ballads and standards. Her 4th album "Music is Art" was produced by two time Grammy award winning producer Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter/Best Jazz Vocalist 2014 + 2016).

In the summer of 2016 musician Steph Johnson co-founded “Voices of our City”, a choir for people experiencing homelessness in San Diego. The choir provides the voiceless with a voice, and showcases the human potential and talent living on the streets. The group has been featured multiple times on KPBS, NPR, PBS Newshour, the SD Union Tribune, Huffpost, People, Parade and more. Recently, Voices of Our City Choir were coveted the Golden Buzzer on Season 15 of America's Got Talent that led them into the live shows. They ended their journey as semifinalists.
To date, the grass roots organization is feeding over 1,000 individuals a week, providing charging sations, and has helped approximately 63 unsheltered into housing. You can watch the full documentary below.
